The Government thanks Robert Randall for his service as Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA).

Mr Randall has announced he will not continue in the role when his contract expires in February.

I look forward to continuing to work constructively and cooperatively with Mr Randall until February.

ACARA is an independent statutory authority and a corporate Commonwealth entity responsible for the development of national curriculum, administration of national assessments and associated reporting on schooling in Australia.

Mr Randall has been CEO since November 2012 and has worked at ACARA since 2009.
